Huawei’s flagship phone launch in Diwali

After having tasted initial success with its recent entry into the retail customer segment through smartphones, Huawei, the world’s No. 2 telecom equipment major from China, now plans to bring them to India.
While the company is present in the B2C segment, also called as business to customer, in India in a small way, it plans to go the whole hog this Diwali with its flagship smartphone – Ascend P1.
“We have not fixed any major growth target specifically for India, but what we can say is that this phone has been widely accepted world-over and hence we are coming up with a product which is sure to catch the imagination,” said Scott Sykes, vice president, corporate media affairs, Huawei.
This will also be the company’s formal arrival in the branded 4G devices segment in India, a market which is still unfolding in the country.
4G is an ultra-high speed data transfer technology in mobile communications and is the direct successor of 3G, expected to be rolled out in the country by next year. However, Airtel has already launched the service in two circles – West Bengal and Karnataka.
Also, in India, the government has so far allowed only data and not voice transfer over 4G.
The Ascend P1, which is the flagship 4G-enabled handset from the company, incorporates a dual core 1.5GHz processor, 4.3-inch Amoled screen, 1 GB RAM and can support external memory of up to 64 GB. The 110-gram phone supports all latest features including 3G, 4G, Bluetooth and WiFi and has an 8 MP camera with an LED flash. The phone runs on an Android 4.0 operating system and is expected to cost around Rs 25,000 in India.
The company will also be introducing yet another smart phone around the same time - Ascend D Quad.
“While India has a market for both smart phones and featured phones, we have decided to focus only on smartphones while we will still be selling featured phones in the market,” said Sykes.
Last year the company sold 50 million smartphones across the world, spearheaded largely by its Ascend P1 model.
“We are targeting to be one of the top players in handsets in the next few years, which is why we have also roped in a London-based ad agency to promote the brand,” said Suresh Vaidyanathan, head – brand and PR, India Marketing, Huawei India.

iPhone 5 Coming In June

http://www.mobile-price.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/Apple-iPhone-5.jpg
Recently, a Foxconn recruiter had reported in an interview that iPhone 5 would be released in June 2012 . As we know that Foxconn is the trade name of a multinational electronics manufacturing company. This Foxconn recruiter works in the recruitment department of Apple's main manufacturing partner's site. He had been interviewed by a female host of TV Tokyo's World Business Satellite show on Monday. You can pick out this information in the following part of conversation between the female host and the Foxconn recruiter:

""Q: How many people the company is looking to hire?
A: We're looking for 18,000 employees…for the fifth-generation phone.
Q: Is that because demand is high for the iPhone 5?
A: That's right. It will come out in June.""

iPhone 5 is supposed to be the next iPhone

In fact, reporter went on to clarify as she got to hear about release of iPhone 5 and wanted to make sure that the recruiter was talking about the iPhone 5. The recruiter also added that the next generation of the handsets will come out in June. So, it is clear that if we believe Foxconn recruiter than we will see a new iPhone in June of this year. It is also clear that Foxconn already has 80,000 workers at its Taiyuan plant and it will work long with Apple to produce iPhone that’s why company is hiring new employees.

As per history of Apple iPhone, the company's first release was an iPhone; and later on it launched iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S is the most recent product from Apple. Till now, we have experienced up to 5th generation of iPhone and now the 6th generation iPhone (or iPhone 5) is going to be the subject of intense speculation all around. Apple has launched iPhone 4S (the 5th generation iPhone) in October 2011, which was a big story of the time. After considering the release cycle of iPhone, it can be expected that we could see next iPhone in June 2012. Apart from news and speculations, I personally feel that Apple will release iPhone 5 within the duration of June to October 2012.

iPhone 5 observations & why it could prevail

The Apple iPhone 5 is highly anticipated even though the release could still be several months away. As usual its biggest competition will be the latest Samsung Galaxy S phone, the Galaxy S3 (and other upcoming Android handsets) but we have some observations for why the iPhone 5 could prevail.
The iPhone 5 has been subject to rumor and speculation almost since the iPhone 4S was released last fall and just a few of the most recent rumors include a possible front panel spot, a lowdown on the hardware and iOS 6 and news that some of the parts for the iPhone 5 will be manufactured in the U.S. Although no specs and features have yet been confirmed for the iPhone 5 (even the name is not confirmed) some of the inclusions that have been widely reported and expected are an A5X or A6 processor, an improved camera, even higher-resolution display, larger screen, iOS 6, LTE connectivity and more

So why do we think the new iPhone will be able to hold its own against the competition? First off is simply Apple’s reputation and brand loyalty. There’s no doubting that many people who purchase an Apple device then find themselves sticking with Apple, in much the same way as Android enthusiasts stay loyal to Android devices. Apple has an excellent reputation for high-quality, top-notch goods and in recent years has managed to keep its prices down in an endeavor to counter its earlier reputation for being expensive. Thus the iPhone 5 is guaranteed success almost regardless of what it brings to the table, although of course the better it is the more it will sell.

There’s also the fact that although the iPhone 4S has sold (and is still selling) in huge quantities, Apple probably would have sold even more if it had come up with a new design. Many people held back and providing Apple comes up with a revamp this time around, those who missed out on the iPhone 4S are likely to opt for the iPhone 5. On top of this there’s also the fact that although the Galaxy S3 is highly regarded, one of its only criticisms has been the rather bland design and feel. Please note before Android fans bombard us with complaints that we’re basing this on readers’ comments to Galaxy S3 posts when many of them noted their disappointment on the design. Of course plenty of others have no problem with the look of the S3 and Apple really has to pull out all the stops with the iPhone 5 design.
As well as this there’s a growing acknowledgement that technical specs aren’t everything. Although as a tech site we provide relevant specs and features on new devices some people just aren’t too worried about the internals and are more concerned with the software or a premium look and feel. Although the hardware is always expected to improve with every iteration of the iPhone, or other smartphones come to that, there seems to be less difference between top-end device specs now, with a plethora of impressive devices to choose from.

LG Optimus 4X HD

Over the last two months we have seen some impressive new smartphones launched by a range of manufacturers including Samsung, Nokia and HTC. On major player who is missing from this list is LG, a company who have established a great reputation for producing high quality devices. Details have now been released about when we can expect to see the new LG Optimus 4X HD, the first quad core device from the manufacturer.

A leading mobile phone retailer has indicated that we can expect to see the new LG Optimus 4X HD hit the shelves in the UK between the end of June and the beginning of July. Originally the handset was scheduled to be released in Korea first with the UK following closely behind but it now looks as though the UK may be first. The exact pricing of this new device is still undecided but we can expect it to compete with similar models such as the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S3. This summer launch date is when we can expect to see the model sold without a SIM contract but it is certain that some of the leading network providers will be keen to offer packages on this model thanks to its impressive specification.

The new LG Optimus 4X HD is going to be the flagship model in the companies range thanks to some very impressive specification. The model will be one of the most powerful on the market thanks to its quad core chipset which will deliver excellent multi tasking speeds.
