Recently, a Foxconn recruiter had reported in an interview that iPhone 5 would be released in June 2012 . As we know that Foxconn is the trade name of a multinational electronics manufacturing company. This Foxconn recruiter works in the recruitment department of Apple's main manufacturing partner's site. He had been interviewed by a female host of TV Tokyo's World Business Satellite show on Monday. You can pick out this information in the following part of conversation between the female host and the Foxconn recruiter:
""Q: How many people the company is looking to hire?
A: We're looking for 18,000 employees…for the fifth-generation phone.
Q: Is that because demand is high for the iPhone 5?
A: That's right. It will come out in June.""
iPhone 5 is supposed to be the next iPhone
In fact, reporter went on to clarify as she got to hear about release of iPhone 5 and wanted to make sure that the recruiter was talking about the iPhone 5. The recruiter also added that the next generation of the handsets will come out in June. So, it is clear that if we believe Foxconn recruiter than we will see a new iPhone in June of this year. It is also clear that Foxconn already has 80,000 workers at its Taiyuan plant and it will work long with Apple to produce iPhone that’s why company is hiring new employees.
As per history of Apple iPhone, the company's first release was an iPhone; and later on it launched iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S is the most recent product from Apple. Till now, we have experienced up to 5th generation of iPhone and now the 6th generation iPhone (or iPhone 5) is going to be the subject of intense speculation all around. Apple has launched iPhone 4S (the 5th generation iPhone) in October 2011, which was a big story of the time. After considering the release cycle of iPhone, it can be expected that we could see next iPhone in June 2012. Apart from news and speculations, I personally feel that Apple will release iPhone 5 within the duration of June to October 2012.
