- Sign up for a free Google.com account. You'll need a
separate google.com account, to share your likes, favorites, and
uploads automatically. You can get one, by signing up at https://accounts.google.com/NewAccount.
- You don't have to sign up for Gmail, if you don't want to, or need another un-useful email. It is an option though. And if you already have one, great.
- Input the information into the box.
- Open your browser and go directly to www.youtube.com .
- Sign into YouTube, using the credentials that you asked to sign-up by(username which is your existing email address and password you specified into the appropriate boxes.) The signup button is at the top-right of the screen.
- Click on your username in the top-right corner of the provided personalized homepage, and click "Settings".
- Click on the "Sharing" from the left-hand tabs at the left of your screen. This used-to be called "Activity Sharing", but I guess Google wanted to shorten it's name to just "Sharing".
- Open another browser window, or another tab.
- Go to: facebook.com or Twitter or Orkut or myspace.com. Ensure yourself that you are signed in. This will make it easier to connect and accept all dialog boxes. If not, sign into your accounts you'd like to share these items with.
- On the resulting page on the Youtube tab, click on the "Connect" button to the right of your respective sharing service.
- Authorize all boxes that come up, which allow posting to your favorite sharing-service's wall/account area. It'll also grab your real name, but not to worry, it won't harm your well-being in any way.
- Go to the video you'd like to share.
- Like the video, or favorite the video, to test it out.
- Go to your sharing service, and make sure it posted.
- If it has, good. You're all done.
- If not, contact google.com for details on how to fix this problem.
- Click on each of the buttons to the left of the sharing item(s) you'd like to share. Some of the major ones you may want to share include(but are not limited to):
- Likes
- Favorites
- Uploads
- Your comments to any video, whether you own the video or not.
- Subscribe to a user's video feed
- Add an item to a playlist
