Lenovo Unveiled 'World's Lightest' 14-inch Ultrabook



Bangalore: Lenovo has entered the Ultrabook world with something unique. The company has launched the world’s lightest and thinnest 14-inch ultrabook-ThinkPad X1 Carbon, weighing around 1.3 kg and measuring 0.71 inches at its thickest point.  


Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is meant for notebook users who desires for a light-weight, sleek and durable device.  The X1 is made of long-lasting carbon-fiber exterior and is engineered with Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge processor. Its 14-inch screen has 1,600 x 900-pixel resolution and the screen is bendable up to 180 degree.


Other specifications are; backlit keyboard, built in 3G connectivity and the device also offers an optional Rapid Charge with a battery that gets 80 percent charged after being plugged in for just half an hour.


Along with the launch of X1 Carbon, Lenovo has also announced a whole new refreshed line of ThinkPad series with its ultraportable X230 laptop, X230t tablet and ThinkPad W530 workstation. All the new devices are powered by Ivy Bridge processors and come with company’s Rapid Boot technology.


The price and availability of this new device is not disclosed yet, but it is expected to be cheap and will reach the stores by June.
