Powered by a quad core processor and dazzled with a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display, Samsung's newest flagship smartphone Galaxy S3 has surely delivered and lived up to the expectations of Samsung
fans all around the globe. And according to the handset's latest sales
figures, people indeed embraced it like a glass of ice cold lemonade on a
hot day.
The South Korean tech giant announced last month that it was expecting Galaxy S3 to surpass 10 million sales figures by the end of July. Sunday, a report by Korean news agency Yonhap News said that the company in fact hit that milestone in less than two months after its official release in May.
Head of Samsung's mobile division Shin Jong-kyun told the news agency that the Galaxy S3 "has become a 10-million seller" since it was unveiled. While Jong-kyun didn't give any exact numbers, the 10 million units sold until now roughly translate into 190,000 units of Galaxy S3 being sold every single day.
