San Francisco: Ending all speculations, Apple Inc Monday announced it was upgrading its notebooks and launched the ultra thin, next generation MacBook Pro at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2012) in San Francisco on Monday.
Declared by Apple as the “most beautiful computer” that the company’s ever made, the notebook is being priced at USD 2199 and was introduced by Apple’s senior vice president Phil Schiller.
Apple calls it the world's highest-resolution notebook display, with a whopping 2,880 x 1,800 display.
The next generation MacBook will ship with OS X Mountain Lion, an HDMI port, Thunderbolt and Intel Quad-core i7 processor.
Reports further assert that the Macbook Pro is getting a spec bump, with the same USB ports as the Air, better graphics and Ivy Bridge chips. The prices will stay the same for both the 13-inch and 15-inch models.
Shipping starts Monday for the all the notebooks including the updated one, Apple was reported as saying.
